Blinds colour/ sofa

Hey there,
We are moving next month into this house, which is going to be unfurnished.
I was wondering which color I should get the blinds and the sofa.
I was thinking of keeping the blinds of the same colour or have them in white, while the sofa I am in between dark navy and charcharcoal grey.
Any suggestion will be appreciated, cheers

Ps:the walls are painted in a light grey

Firstly, can I just say what a beautiful period fire place you have you must be excited to move in!

With large windows I would go for white shutters with a dark grey sofa similar to the one in the photo shoot a classic style will look timeless and last!

God I love your cabinets and worktop - don't change a thing! You could add pops of colours - almost anything will look good as a nice neutral pallet. Do you like maybe a soft lavender which always goes nice with the soft grey-green of cupboards? F&B Elephants Breath has a hint of it. I'm glad to see everyone saying leave cupboards as they are. I would personally go for the aubergine velvet (thrid from right) with either a central 10cm wide horizontal stripe in the bronze silk (second from left) or with a 15cm wide band of the bronze silk at the bottom. - or both - just a thought! It would lend colour and texture and you could repeat it on a couple of large cushions, then have a slightely smaller couple in augbergine and a slightly smaller still couple in the bronze silk. Agree with CreatePerfect, Purple is going to be too darkening on the room in general and should be reserved for the accent colours, cushions etc. ( Love all the colour fabrics shown in the first pic and would pick cushions in all colours used ). I think the blush is a good medium and will go with all., I had a quick look on blinds 2 go and they have two fabrics called blush, you can't tell the difference on the website, so i'd always order swatches. If you don't like plain, i did find one that encapsulated all your colours in a leaf design, and also one with blush and purple in a more modern design. As everyone likes something different, it's all a matter of personal choice. I like the plain blush's but also the leaf print as it's fresh and airy, flavia grape

I like the grey/purple combo, but try and find patterns with the different colour ways. Put the swatches up on the window to see how they look in the light. Don't be afraid of a pattern but you might want something that isn't too dominant especially in the lounge. It probably needs to be more relaxing?

Hi, I'm not the great fan of these beige window blonds, but I wouldn't go for white, otherwise the room will look bland. Apply some texture, maybe go for printed blinds? If you want a charcoal grey sofa, why not tie the look together and go for white / grey printed blinds?

Hi, they're not offensive blinds at all and if they do the job you could perhaps just add a fixed pelmet in the chosen fabric or add an MDF boxed and painted pelmet? Sometimes too many things to look at detract from the other great things in the room. Also live the fireplace and the light is great...good luck!
