POLL: Basement or loft?
Comments (80)Basements are a great way to add a feature space to your home, such as a games room or home cinema! Our Clients in London, mainly Clapham, South Kensington, Greenwich and Hackney love them as they can gain extra space without moving home. If you want to work to more of a budget, lofts are far easier and cheaper options to create additional space. Comments (121)I never understood why people don't build their conservatory for year round use. It's all about light and heat control. Automatic sun reflective shades along the roof windows will keep the room from overheating in the summer and even help keep it warm in the winter. Proper wall and ceiling insulation, double or gas permeated triple glazing will keep it comfortable year around with the right heating. Add a wee wood stove in a corner with a simply pipe chimney and you have yourself a lovely winter sun room to brighten your cold winter days. If you live where there is snow, even better. It'll feel like a wee slice of paradise....See MorePOLL: How do you store your bike?
Comments (18)I won a bike in a competition just before Christmas ,but due to a knee problem I'm unable to ride this beautiful prize . I live in a terrace so back access is complicated and due to the knee problem I can't haul it up the front steps !! New house needed .... for me and my bikey !...See MorePOLL: Favourite 'World of Design' Edible Garden?
