Extra Long White Black Out Curtains
Comments (6)Can you buy a 91' drop then get local adulterations place to add a band at the bottom,, like white curtains with gold at bottom? You could also try other people for a price because maybe the first quote isn't going to be the best one. I don't have any curtains in my house but I guess that they are something that will last years and years and can be swapped from room to room so paying to get the ones you want will probably be an investment, my new moto for big things is buy cheap=buy twice,, because I buy what I don't really want and then have to buy what I really want lol...See Morecurtains for open kitchen/living
Comments (11)HI Lidia, I would go for a more textured curtain, when you have floor to ceiling curtains it is good to have weight to them so they hang well and make a statement. You can still have them closing across the radiator, however if you had white wooded slated blinds throughout you wouldn't need to close the curtains on that wall at the same time keeping straying eyes out. I would make cure the ceiling is a bright white and go for maybe a dove Grey to the walls, then I slightly darker grey fabric for the curtains. With a vertical stripe or geometric stripe. Hang the blinds on the outside of the sill to keep a nice flush look. Check out blinds to go they tell you how to measure make sure you follow it exactly. I have left a link to a job I am doing for a client these blinds were purchased from Blinds to go.https://www.atominteriorstyling.com/projects/...See MorePlease Help needed with curtain length & curtain type
Comments (8)I tend to prefer long curtains personally as well but if you think that brushing past them would annoy you then I’d go for short. Roman blinds could be an option as well if they will tuck under the pelmet, I do feel that you’d need a double layer approach with perhaps a roller blind in the window to block out the light tho. You could always ask the curtain maker to include curtain weights in the bottom. This would help to make the fabric hang a lot straighter. Of course this does depend on what type of fabric you choose. A thick woven wool or chenille for example (something you might use for cushions or upholstery) will have a lot more bulk and stick out more. Synthetic materials such as nylon and polyester tend to drape better because of the smooth weave. Here’s some advice on choosing fabrics https://www.themillshop.co.uk/blog/which-is-the-best-fabric-for-curtains A plain simple pelmet would look best I think even if it’s curtains or Roman blinds....See MoreCurtains above a radiator? Comments (8)Hi Tanni, what a lovely room and a lovely restful and sumptuous shade of blue that you have chosen on the wall. Lucky tenants! I would recommend doing a roman blind/curtain combo. By layering your window will provide more depth. Although you are adding layers you will be creating the illusion of more space by drawing the eye in through the layers. Having the curtains drawn back more for aesthetics will widen the space and also make the room feel really welcoming and warm to any potential tenant. For renting, I would opt for a blind fabric that is easy to wipe down/off marks. Blindstogo.co.uk have a great selection and an easy online measuring tool. I would recommend going for a bit of detail or pattern on the blinds like below to create interest and a focal point and then a plain curtain fabric. Lighter colours will create a brighter window space and bounce the natural daylight back into the room....See Morelovcolours ltd
