Fisher and Paykel Appliances?

First time question! We are currently renovating our house in London Fields, Hackney, which will involve an open plan kitchen/dining room in the lower ground floor. I was going to go with a black smeg range and integrated fridge freezer, however all the integrated fridge freezers I can find are very small. So, instead, am thinking of getting a Fisher and Paykel stainless steel fridge freezer (not integrated), and therefore have got it in my head the range should match, therefore a stainless steel F&P range. My questions are: Do you think it is essential for the fridge and range to match (they will be quite close by each other on the same wall) and b) does anyone have any experience of Fisher and Paykel fridge freezers and ranges? There are a few reviews online ranging from great to terrible, and Which? hasn't tested them.

I have this one ! It's lovely ! But the freezer is a little on the small side - so had to buy a spare one !!
(Not been shopping after weekend yet !! So its a bit empty )
I have a different range - a falcon one - but it's on a different wall !

I dont think its essential to but matching the style of both appliances would be nice. Havent got any experience as a user but fitted a few of their appliances and they seem good and never had any call backs

Hi - received your email about this post ... in short - no - haven't designed one under a sink before - but that's because the space needed for one of these is just over 40cm ( see pic ) and that would only leave about 30cm for bowl and plumbing above it ... with a vessel sink this might be possible - but not sure how practical the vessel sink would be in a kitchen ? If this is an Au pair /granny flat kitchen that is a secondary cooking space - then maybe ok - but if it's a primary cooking space I'd reconsider that kind of sink as it might be a bit awkward. Man about the house might be able to help ? Maybe a shallow shower trap instead of standard trap might help ?

Dryer- try to get one that vents in a way that suits your room- or condensing dryers are good. Washing machine- Lots now seem to have really long wash programmes- try to find one that can do a load in an hour. Also delay start is useful as the noise intrusion can be while you are out or sleeping. Single oven are available with a choice of features- you could choose self cleaning, a microwave, steam oven, sous vide or a combination. Microwave - personally I think if you have a single oven it is useful to have the microwave in a combination oven so you can have additional oven space for high days and holidays.

Our new kitchen was Ikea and we spray painted the Ikea doors with F&B. Our builders customised the kick boards and made tailor made tongue & groove end panels and infills. As colourhappy says you get such a lot of space in the cabinets, not to mention some nifty in-built storage options, to make the most of the space. A lot of folks are sniffy about Ikea kitchens, but I think they're long lasting and good value. The money we saved on the cabinets & doors, we put towards Corian worktops and Neff & Fisher & Paykell appliances and a Quooker tap.

That is a really nice combination, the modern marble effect worktop even works with the shaker style kitchen and becomes a standout feature of the kitchen.

I like my F&P appliances (and they don't match even though they are the same brand! So it's no guarantee!). We did, however, get to know the appliance repair man rather well over them.
