Ideas for kitchen backsplash
Comments (8)There are a huge range of options and it would depend on the look and feel of what you want to achieve, your personal view on colour & boldness, what else is close by (to tie in with) and budget. A coloured glass, such as a citrine green or orange would look great. A very different style/look, but equally eye-catching would be some interesting patterned tiles such as the Patricia Urquiola collection from Surface Tiles in London (and elsewhere). My personal preference would be to opt for a white/grey marble such as a Calacatta D'oro which would be incredibly luxurious and bring in the white and soft greys as well as adding a hint of warm caramel. That is if budget allowed. Carrera marble is less costly but has a greyer background. It is always advisable to go and choose a slab of marble from the stone yard....See MoreBacksplash advice needed!!!
Comments (3)Do you need a backsplash? What do you want from it? Colour, pattern, or just to protect the walls from splashes (the only reason I think makes sense!) I have no backsplash, my sink is against a wall but it's vinyl Matt and it wipes easily. My hob is on island so no backslash needed. If it's just for behind your hob you can use glass, so not obvious. I would suggest you wait til your kitchen units/worktop/floor is all fitted before deciding, it makes it easier!...See MoreKitchen help I need advice on floor tiles, backsplash, worktops.
Comments (3)Hi, its a really nice space I know you mentioned you like the country style, you could incoporporate some wooden paneling similar to the image below for your wall and backsplash as it give a rustic vibe. Alternativly sage green tiles would lokk really nice and still keep the space feeling bright. I think a sage green would work really well with your white units and soften the black cooker (Ive added an image below). It would also work with either the grey floor you currently have or the beige travestine tiles if you did decide to continue them from your hallway. You could then add some sage accents like a clock, lights etc to bring the scheme together (taking inspiration from the below image.) And adding a plant maybe a Fern in a rustic pot will bring the country vibe into your space. Im not sure what your current units are made from but you could look into pianting some of the units to bring the colour scheme together. Hope this helps Louise...See MoreNew bathroom needs a backsplash
Comments (9)Do you like patterned tiles at all? Doesn’t have to be garish and you can keep the pallet simple. I’m thinking tile the whole wall, the same width as the vanity unit, up to the ceiling, similar to first picture. Or if that’s too much, then just tile the space from the sink to the mirror. I would raise the mirror a little so that it doesn’t get too splashed....See MoreTrine Vig
