POLL: Where do you start when decorating your living room?
Comments (23)Furniture and flooring need to be long stay options, so I would choose these first, then introduce colors of walls from curtains and pick it up in cushions and rug. that way it is easy to freshen up room in a few years without changing the major expenses e.g. new paint color and cushions...See Moreneed to decorate my living room corner
Comments (5)Hi Tanjina, Have you considered to dedicate that corner to a bigger bonsai tree? Regards the mirrors, I think the first option would be great, I think we can safely hang it just behind the TV. We may print any kind of the mirror with the Disney/Pixar etc. theme that your children like. Let me know if you are interested and I will schedule a call for you with our advisor....See MoreHelp me decorate my living room! Feeling overwhelmed...
Comments (14)I think the Pinterest Instagram thing is a factor. It's easy to miss other options and there are so many of them, not to mention that in a year the dark blue thing will have passed and have been taken over by something else, possibly green. I think the most important thing is what colour sofas you get as you will probably have them for a long time. I like Minnie's idea of purple browns, and or browny pinks. So versatile and they would go with lots of things. Orange and violet (or burnt orange, cognacs etc and almost browny warm violets) are beautiful together and if they are muted look great with flashes of more saturated smaller items....See MoreDecor for living room
Comments (13)Hi Suzie, I’m so glad you liked some of my suggestions, but apart from Dunelm, Next have a lot of nice accessories and Etsy is fabulous for reasonably priced artwork (I’m a bit addicted to Etsy!). So out of the things you’ve chosen, I would put the brass floorlamp where the wobbly lamp is to create a cosy corner. I would then put the table lamp to the right of your lovely sideboard, assuming you have a socket there, then one of your photos next to it, then the mauve heart, finishing with a plant at the end on the left. This isn’t written in stone so you can swop them about if needed and if they don’t quite fit. On the fireplace I would put the metal heart on the left and the green plant pot on the right with a plant in it. Then in the middle one of the photos and any nice pottery you may have. Or a clock in the middle, although I see you have a wall clock already! If you still feel a bit overwhelmed, visit Dunelm or Next or wherever and take photos of items you like and share with the Houzzers before you buy, but only if you wish to! Good luck 😊...See Moreswatibali5186
