How do you usually use it? Is it for home relaxation and get-togethers with friends? Or is yours more like a functional storage space?

Our terraced garden we moved in last year. Stone Chipping's and the odd plant and very steep steps . I'm a huge fan of garden rooms and my favourite era is arts and crafts gardens Gertrude Jekylls designs influence mine :)

How do you use your spare room?

We have 3 spare rooms; 2 are double guest bedrooms with one containing a bank of very tall wardrobes for clothes we don't have room for in our own bank of wardrobes in our bedroom so can double as a dressing area (note to self - you've got too many flippin' clothes!). The third is used purely as the OH study/ office, but tends to be used as a dumping ground as well.

When we're not busy putting up Awnings on other people's patios we like to play in the garden and patio with the dogs and the kids - although at the moment we're in the process of redesigning ours, it's going to take a while! You know what they say - 'the shoe makers son goes barefoot'!

Cleaning and maintaining one of my bikes, although I have big plans for a 'catio' for our two indoor cats once I get around to having rendered blockwork walls built to replace the tumbledown wooden fences.

My cat uses it mainly. sometimes too windy for me. The oceon view is beyond it.

When I build patios for my customers they start out as a relaxation/get-together area but usually turn into storage space. Always think ahead and plan for both :)

We're in the middle of our roof terrace project. It gets the sun all day so we need some shade up there when it's all finished. Any ideas of what we can do? Really appreciate any advice!

We have a double-tiered piazza that runs the full 72' of the front of the home which is sited on the side of a mountain facing northwest. It is 12' deep with 12' ceilings. We enjoy morning coffee or tea, as well as evening cocktails there most of the year (we have a temperate climate).

We have a beautiful balcony overlooking 5 bays and the view is spectacular, however we can rarely use the balcony because of the wind. If you want the view you have the wind to contend with.
