Can you please tell me where that headboard is from? Love that it's not your typical white or gray tufted headboard. Also, was that a painted mural or is that something you apply to the wall? This is awesome!

How very kind of you to make such nice comments Nics! I bought a very cheap and nasty headboard and had it reupholstered with beautiful material. Beige seems a good way to go. However, headboards are easily changed with a piece of material sewn like a big pillow case, then you can change with seasons/mood etc: fuchsia, green, tapestry, silks, all those things that look great in the magazine but you wonder how long you can live with. Also good if you every want to move the room around and you end up with the bed against white instead of blue walls. Just in case you're like me and can never ever make up your mind.

Hi, You can buy fairly firm upholstery foam, in a large enough piece for the bottom to rest on the bed. You might also want to cover it. If that's not firm enough then Kingspan (or similar) insulating foam definitely would be. Wrap it in something airtight so you don't breathe in the dust from it. I've got insulating foam wrapped in PVC wipe-clean tablecloth fabric for a footrest right now.

Beds can look good in front of windows. I do agree with Mehdia re loss of light and it would be good to see pics once available (many windows also seem to be off centre when in this predicament!). I also agree with you re what it looks from outside. Shutters (or cafe ones) would be ideal but you could consider bottom up blinds, these are sheer but there are non-sheer ones available. You could layer these with curtains (or do the same with shutters)
