Hello Karen, The copper tap is by Vola... In order to get it for that price it may be that you need to enlist the help of a lovely designer who might be able to offer you trade on it especially if you're doing the whole bathroom but I feel that this price is still under cost price to them. If you included something else or more of the same tap range for bath and or shower rose fittings you can then start to bring the pricing down individually.. It could also be that multiple purchases across their umbrella range bring the pricing down further.. A white (Off white) Concrete basin like the one I sent you on the other thread would be about £760 ex vat. I am saying this as I have a contact that deals with Vola and Kast... Should you be interested in a sink too... : ))

Ok so this may sound stupid and I have no idea if it can be achieved, I am sure a lot of tradesmen on here would laugh but I’m trying to think outside of the box for a shoestring budget. So I’m a major fan of ikea hacks, you can customise furniture for so little money and you really can be quite creative. As for faking Crittall Windows........ providing this is for internal aesthetics only I would love someone to experiment with this idea in a man cave. Use the black powder coated aluminium pax wardrobe frame from ikea and get a glazier to cut the glass to required size using the ikea inserts as a template. Obviously your door widths would have to be increased but this could work against stud partitions in large apartments to separate areas of space maybe? U can all laugh at me now!

Hi, it really does depend on the reclamation yard some are much better than others, I would have a look at a few and dont buy doors which have been sitting outside. I can't see if you have said where you are but just as an example somewhere like Frome reclamation is great, Karl has a fantastic range of doors stripped, labeled with size marked on and ordered by style all ready to go https://www.fromerec.co.uk/reclamation/doors page 6 has Victorian/ Edwardian doors . Also as E D has said have a look on ebay as you never know what might be near you and a good few yards also sell on there. The other thing to watch is that if you do find the perfect doors leave them in the house for a while before hanging and painting to ensure they acclimatize to the humidity and temperature of your home, this may sound like a pain but it will reduce any potential for cracking or shrinkage. Good luck hunting, it is definitely worth it as the house will always look right with the correct doors.

I am so glad I joined Houzz, such great knowledge and advice shared everyday! Great plans Jonathan, very bold choice of colours for the exterior I would have never considered that as we were looking at a more monochrome outlook, similar to the below. I think we would change the downstairs so that there was no garage (there is something similar already in the garden and the carriage driveway is massive) and instead a nice wide entrance area with two lounges coming off and then off the centre of that entrance large glass doors leading to a very elegant and classic kitchen and casual dining and living area with complete view of the garden. An elegant staircase would be a very nice feature of the entrance also leading to a galleried landing.Coming off the kitchen to either the left or right a study + utility room. There is also a very random bungalow in the garden - ha! No idea what to do with it but its not very good to look at.
