You could try yellows or blues. Maybe add a feature floral, chinoiserie or trellis style wallpaper. Add green with plants and maybe a sunburst mirror. Dulux and I think crown do a visulaiser app so you can upload a pic of your room and try various colours. It's a bit tricky to use to start with but you get the hang of it after a few minutes

Hi Amelia, This is a fantastic space, I love the detail and height you have in your living room! A great way to get away from the stark white walls is to paint the room in a grey tone, this will allow you to still use your existing furniture and accessories in your space. I would suggest using Grey Steel 3, which a beautiful soft grey tone. This colour will definitely be in keeping with the details of the room and most importantly your furniture. Or if you do want to stay with the neutral tones Chalk Blush 3 will be the best colour for this as this is still bright but brings a touch of warmth to the room. If you would like to give either of these colours a try you can always get some tester pots and test them out or if you have a smart phone you can download the Dulux visualizer app. This is so easy all you have to do is point your phone at the walls of your room and pick either of these colours. I think a light grey would enhance your table and chairs. You can add accents of brighter colours in small touches (kitchen herbs, fruit bowl,...) and some art on the table wall? The kitchen looks quite dark, you could consider letting more light in by leaving the blinds up and maybe change the ceiling lighting to halogen spots?

Hello, What a lovely living room, we love the fireplace, and even that you say that it doesn't get much light the windows look big! We would recommend you to keep the colour of the walls light, you could go for a very light grey (or even a white) to inject more light. You can then play a bit with colour with furniture, accessories, etc We are a small online design company that offers impartial, good value design advice.
