POLL: Fabric or leather sofa?
Comments (60)Although we've gone for fabric in this poll, we know that for most of us this very much comes down to a choice between comfort and aesthetic. Leather is a bit more of an acquired taste when you're talking about comfort, whereas the right fabric sofa comes with comfort built in. If like us you love great textile design, a sumptuous fabric sofa is definitely an opportunity to explore the work of some well established textile designers like Margo Selby or new breed upholstery & textile design houses like Native Flok in Edinburgh. Okay, so you may just be looking for a lovely, comfortable sofa you can curl up on and watch Strictly, but even then, if approached with a sense of adventure, navigating the brave new world of textile design can still be very exciting stuff!...See MoreDark green leather sofa - help
Comments (6)Depending on the style your trying to accomplish you have a few options. If your style is very modern I'd go with grey walls white furniture and pull some green into your accessories and curtains. If your wanting a more traditional look I'd try oak furniture white walls and accessorise as you like but pull the green that way. You always have the option of a 70s style (I know it's not a 70s sofa) but you could play on the colour by adding a vintage sideboard and big rug maybe adding some mustard yellow and light blue....See MoreDark brown leather suites and new house
Comments (15)So excited now by your comments, I'm definitely going with turquoise and taupe with the dark brown sofas. Can't wait to move. I have also noticed those large wall units which would fit in at the back of the lounge as it is a bit of a spare space. The door is in the middle of the lounge and I anticipate the sofas going to the right of the door near the fireplace. Can you buy these or are they bespoke to a each requirement? I'll search....xx...See MoreWhat goes with grey sofa. I keep thinking greys whites.
Comments (13)Hi The great thing about grey is that it is a neutral and can be pretty much mixed with anything:-) A few pieces and possibly prints in duck egg, black , a copper lamp or table, and you have your scheme. I have attached a few images below just to show you the diverse range of options and how anything goes. I don't know if your style is contemporary or more relaxed but the same theories apply - Interiors in my opinion look more interesting when things are not too matchy matchy. If you bought a copper/brass influenced, coffee table, lamp, side table, duck egg throw, a couple of cushions with duck egg and maybe white, black or muted green, a vase in teal, black etc. I know you get the idea. It can cost as little or as much as your budget allows and as you find pieces or things you love, they will all fit in beautifully but it will have a lovely relaxed feel. I hope this helps:-) https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/wimbledon-family-house-transitional-living-room-london-phvw-vp~8736498 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/false-creek-condo-scandinavian-living-room-vancouver-phvw-vp~11284069 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/san-francisco-pied-a-terre-contemporary-living-room-san-francisco-phvw-vp~34295322 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/heritage-home-renovated-by-tanner-kibble-denton-architects-tdka-contemporary-living-room-sydney-phvw-vp~12504826 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/living-etc-west-london-house-tour-2015-contemporary-living-room-london-phvw-vp~32703732 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/geometric-collection-contemporary-living-room-london-phvw-vp~36425901 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/shortlisted-sbid-international-design-awards-2013-residential-category-contemporary-living-room-london-phvw-vp~12418133 https://www.houzz.co.uk/photos/clarendon-works-industrial-living-room-london-phvw-vp~19400707...See Morepambar1036
