POLL: TV in the bedroom - yay or nay?
Comments (51)I had a TV in my bedroom for most of my adult life, because I was living in a house share or a studio. Whenever I've lived in my own home - which I have for the last fifteen years - and had a separate bedroom, I've not had a TV in the bedroom. I haven't had one for the last eight years and I would hate to have one again. It's sort of intrusive and it has a negative impact on my sleep. I have a radio next to my bed and will listen to that quietly because it can be soothing. I love watching TV, just not where I sleep....See MorePOLL: Fake flowers - yay or nay?
Comments (44)im on the fence with this one as i like both, if the faux are good faux, but i get loads of free real flowers in the spring and summer as i end up with loads from the garden which would end up expensive if had to buy them every month, but i enjoy my faux when i can not get nice free fresh ones, so i would go for both...See MorePOLL: Ditching your old TV for a projector - yay or nay?
Comments (2)Not as simple as that I'm afraid. TV's will work in most room without any issues, but when using a projector you need to factor in other environmental issues. If the room has a high ambient light level a projector won't work unless you use sufficient shading. Also a projector doesn't have any speakers, so you'll have to install some type of surround sound system. In our opinion a projector only system should by used in a cinema room in a basement or garage conversion where there are minimal or no windows. A duel system works well in a Living environment (which we call a media room) where your everyday viewing is on the TV and you use the 2.35:1 Projector Screen for your movies....See MoreJuliette Balcony - yay or nay ?
Comments (5)I know someone who had one, but they never really stepped out of it. If the view isnt great to look at then its not really worth it. if your road is quite satisfying to zone out too then maybe it might be good for some fresh air. Make sure you get permissions though, i had a case where the council had to knock it down as neighbours opposite complained that we were looking at them and it was invasion of privacy! (Although we werent and if we wanted to, it wouldnt make a difference if it was a balcony or a window, but the council are quite annoying!)...See MoreCreate Perfect
