Silver Antiqued Mirror in Bathroom

Do you like how the Silver Antiqued Mirror is used in this bathroom? Would you use an Antiqued Mirror in your Bathroom as a wall feature? perhaps kitchen splashback? or wall feature in any part of your house? it adds depth & light to any room and it is easier to maintain than silver mirror.

We use a lot of mirrors in our interiors. This antiqued finish is a great choice for a bathroom in our opinion, easily maintained and cleaned and adds nice detail to a feature wall. I'm not sure I'd clad the entire wall, if I was going to do that I'd probably opt for a tinted glass.

It is indeed a very good option for a bathroom as you mentioned can be easily maintained plus adds a beautiful feature for a wall. The distressed of these mirrors is all bespoke and can be controlled as per client needs. They are also available in bronze, gold & dark grey mirror. Beautiful in any interior as they are very versatile.

Hi there, You might try and change the colour of your bulbs if it's the artificial light causing the colour distortion. Ie they usually do a warm white or a cool white in bulbs so it's worth trying that first. If it's natural light causing it then accessory wise you could go with any colour. Red, hot pink & even a rich cobalt blue (mostly warm tones) would brighten it up a bit.

I would definitely go for a bold warm colour like a dark grey either a paint or a textured wallpaper. Both work really well in small cloakrooms with white fixtures. Put a big glam mirror above the sink and a pendant light too. I tested a new Valspar colour today called Sooty Lashes which I'm about to use in a bathroom project. I'm looking to renovate the ensuite of my 2 bed flat and came across photos of open plan bathrooms. Some of the photos look great and I'm considering it as I don't have much room to work with in the bathroom and my bedroom has room I can use. I'm looking at moving the basin into the bedroom area, which would free up space for a bath and shower. I was thinking of making the basin look less bathroom-y and more like a makeup desk using wood and soft furnishing and a full length mirror. The rest of the bathroom would be behind a wall (no door). Main problem is that the door to the bedroom will open to the the basin (the rest of the bedroom is on the left), which I guess would put people off. I quite like the idea but I'm concerned it would put off potential buyers (more so after reading the comments). Should I stick with a traditional ensuite? I can put a bath and shower in there but I think it would be too cramped or I can loose the bath and have more room with just a shower. What do you think?

Hello comegetme, I think tiles and paint can work well... You could even have two colours... Like the wooden blind for the window and you've pretty much nailed the placement... What about having a wall hung loo.... This gives an even gr8r level of space and means if it's boxed in.. you get another shelf. For folded towels? Reed sticks... What about thinking more on the spa theme with stone tiles.... Stone flooring... Tile Magic has a really amazingly affordable range.. (see image) but get samples! With marble or any stone- it must have a protective coating/seal which is not visible but it will mean that the marble or stone is protected.. There are some nice slates too, that could be nice... I rather like these marbles below, or you could choose a travertine, or a marble looking tile... From £1.70 or so a tile... It's probably the most affordable I have ever seen... I would say get samples of any you like and sit them in the room and see how they work with the light... Even if you compliment it with a painted wall....Choosing accessories very carefully can also bring a really luxurious feel on a small budget.. What about a bamboo ladder for towels....... The shower screen I would say doesn't need to move, you just step in from the bottom end.. and I'd choose straight edges and have an invisible fixing.. Ie no chrome edges... : ))

We use a lot of mirrored Splashbacks in the kitchen, it opens up the space beautifully. We currently have the antiqued bronze mirror mixed with a concrete door and walnut panels on display giving it a very urban edge.

We have antique mirror in bath area of our master bedroom - love it :-)
