Another lovely example of a mezzanine library combining glass balustrade and rough timber beams.

This one shows the glass sitting in front of the supporting beam. I have seen something similar with the old wood sitting behind but I can't find a picture on Houzz

This is a good example of putting a glass railing with old timber for a mezzanine. Here the glass sits behind a timber lip.

Putting a mini mezzanine over your double height entrance is great. This is an idea of how it could look. What I really wanted to highlight here is the spotlights on a cable running below the balcony. This could be a useful way to bring in light to this area.

Add shelves and a mirror above the washing machine and you can create a make up zone combined with clothes folding.

I love this colour. Also, a large mirror can be brilliant for making a space feel bigger.
Metal wall sconces would be good to provide light either side of the mirror. Try to match the finish of the mirror frame.

Possible effect or colour for the cupboard housing the washing machine.

A magnificant use of stained glass. The colour scheme could work well in a smaller room too.

If a window is already a focal point then make it the focus by adding stained glass. Use white tiles with a shaped border to achieve a similar effect to the panelling but suitable for a wet zone.
