Some of these houses are stunning especially those with a view into a great landscape but so many of them have NO PLANTING around them! What about some trees to replace those that were used in the construction or even a beautiful single specimen tree to frame the view? Many of the houses look so lost within the landscape it's as though the architects only saw the building and not the space.

I'm truly astounded at the Swedish re-growth rate for their wood! Having been brought up in wooden houses [nearly a century ago!], all of these images and facts are good to know. Continuing to use wood for construction, in these days of obvious planetary depletion, is historically, a contentious issue, today more than ever. Thank you, Houzz, for this post, and its images.
