We are completely in love with our new kitchen and utility. Bennett Projects did an amazing job. When we embarked on this renovation we had hoped for a kitchen and utility that is more functional (quiet appliances, get rid of the pine cupboards, work top from this century) and we are delighted we got a truly beautiful kitchen and utility that is easy to use. Within our budget. That is totally us (contemporary, functional, sentimental, with character!). Their reliable, professional team where a pleasure to have on site. We are also grateful for the sound advice, suggestions and clever design. Our new kitchen/utility has transformed our home and our lives. And we have been busy enjoying it ever since. We originally dropped in to the showroom to get some ideas for our kitchen / dining room project, thinking 'this place will be way out of our price range'. We were given an accurate quote, together with some really fresh ideas - way beyond the high street options. The job was completed despite some challenging issues, which were worked around with skill and determination on our behalf, and we've continued to enjoy it every day for nearly two years now. Their attention to detail, their 'can do' attitude, their honesty and commitment to doing a great job mean that for us we won't look elsewhere for future jobs. We've had kitchens installed previously by others, so we do have experience of other installers. Here's a simple example - our washing machine packed in a few months ago and I went into the cupboard under the sink wondering which connections I'd need to play with. I found that the whole back panel of the cupboard had been fitted (without us asking) with magnetic catches, the whole panel came off easily and all of the connections were perfectly laid out, labelled and easily accessible, This is the sort of thing in my book that sets these guys apart from the rest. The project involved building work (including liaising with building control), re-planning the downstairs rooms, new staircase (beautifully crafted), re-plumbing, rewiring the whole house, dealing with asbestos, moving the boiler, re-plastering, remodelling the front porch, new floors throughout and installing a new kitchen. Our summary? The best. I would have complete confidence in recommending their services based on my experience.

I was very happy with the service we received and they were friendly, helpful and had great design ideas. We are over the moon with the finished kitchen and it is a real focal point in our house. They were also very competively priced in regard to the other quotes we got and deliverd all with in our timescale.

Bennett and Prewitt provided a great all round service from planning our kitchen redesign to installation and decorating. Their tradesmen were always on time, polite, friendly, helpful and tidy and obviously very good at what they do. We were kept informed with what would be happening and when. We are delighted with the end result, such a transformation!

Bennett and Prewett built us a 1950’s style diner kitchen from concept (an illustrative photograph) to completion (designed and built bang on the original concept). They completely stripped out an old kitchen and adjacent room to combine the two rooms into one, providing major rewiring, plumbing, plastering and tiling, arranged around the overall kitchen build. There may have been some technical challenges and hard work, but clearly all in a day’s work to the very professional team provided by Bennett and Prewett. There was no question about the expertise and effectiveness of all in the team. There was a reliability about everyone’s work allowing the project to progress without delay and giving certainty to individuals’ scheduling requirements on site. The different trades and build experts worked hand in glove – clearly used to working together on projects, obviously practiced in knowing what everyone else needed, by not getting in each other’s way, even in such a small area. This was also a tribute to the very effective project management on site and behind the scenes. Key to the success of the project was the company approach to use detailed pre-project discussion to ensure that our idea was well understood and feasible within a reasonable timeframe and could be reliably priced up. The early discussions towards common understanding and detailed design minimised surprises and alterations during the works, successfully avoiding risk to timely completion and cost within budget. The attention to detail in all aspects of the job, precise build and close-up craftsmanship and tight project management, was the key to a most professionally and beautifully finished 'American Diner'.
