About Us

If you have a letting property or are looking to sell your home, how you present it to your potential buyers or guests is of vital importance – first impressions count. We're Corinne and Don Twining, and 'Cyprus Living Spaces' is our interior design partnership here in Cyprus. With many years of experience in the UK (please take a look at our showroom and client photos), we offer you expert help in making better use of interior spaces. This can include re-design of bathrooms or kitchens if you need it, or simply advice on colour, furnishings and furniture. We offer a shopping service too. Updating or changing the style of your home to make it more attractive or to make life easier for yourself (particularly where bathrooms are concerned), can be a bit of a challenge but often all that’s needed is some good advice and a few tweaks – or a professional viewpoint so that you can see whether more ambitious ideas are feasible. We’re very friendly and approachable and of course we don’t charge for an initial chat! Being on the same wavelength is an essential factor for a good outcome all round, and we very much enjoy helping our clients. Please be sure to check out our testimonials!

I can’t thank you enough for all your amazing ideas and helping to bring this to life!! You have been incredible and I really didn’t help with the moving of goal posts on several occasions, thanks a lot for not losing it with me several times;> Thanks again for everything! I contacted Corinne in Cyprus when I was being pressed to make interior design decisions for our family new villa and I realised I simply did not have the time. She helped narrow down the options which enabled us to make those decisions, and also came up with alternatives outside of those recommended by my developer. She was a tactful go-between, super reliable and efficient and hence I really appreciated the service. We maybe need some finishing touches so I will be sure to keep her posted as she has some useful connections and a very creative brain.

Corinne and her husband did a fantastic job for us. We were looking for a designer to help us redecorate our holiday let. Corinne gave us a detailed spec of colours to use and furniture to include. She also put the places we could buy them from having checked herself first hand. Corinne was always professional yet personable, really easy to work with and would highly recommend her.

Corinne and Don are true professionals. What I liked most about them was that they took their time to consider our needs and consulted with us every step of the way. Nothing was too much for them and with their many year's experience it meant that the finished project was up to our expectations. Also the team of people they used on the project - George the builder, Christos the plumber and Steve the electrician were first class at their profession. We would not hesitate to recommend this team for any home improvement from the design to the finished project.

We contacted Corrine to give a quote on a makeover for a 2 bedroom apartment which we had advertised for sale for 10 months with no interest. Corrine provided the vendor with a full, detailed quotation and a full breakdown of her suggestions and intentions, which appeared to be very reasonable. Once agreed, the work was carried out immediately (despite it being the hottest time of year!) and to a very high standard. On the last day of Corrine’s makeover, there was a viewing on the apartment, the clients made an offer which was accepted! Through their Cornwall-based company Tiles & Interiors, Don and Corinne created the detailed designs for two en-suite bathrooms and a shower room in our holiday rental property near Lands End. This was an unusual design brief as the property is a converted World War II underground bunker, which meant that the bathrooms had no natural lighting, and room dimensions were fixed since dividing walls are reinforced concrete. Don and Corinne's designs made good use of light colours and contemporary styling, with touches of blues and greens reflecting the property's coastal location, and the results were spacious and luxurious without breaking the bank. We were particularly impressed with the redesign of a small shower room, just 1.4m by 1.8m, and previously, but unsuccessfully, fitted as a wet room. Don and Corinne's redesign made very good use of this limited space, fitting in a basin, enclosed shower, and WC, yet resulting in a room which feels perfectly proportioned and uncramped.

You wouldn't think there would be any similarity between a WWII bunker and a Cypriot house - but the clue is in the reinforced concrete required by the seismic building codes here. Making sense out of very small spaces needs sound construction and plumbing knowledge coupled with empathy for the user!

Following our move back to the UK from our home in Cyprus we decided to offer our villa for rental. Before we did this however our home required a facelift and we needed some inspiration, after all it’s difficult to be objective when something is so personal. Right from the start Corinne had a perfect feel for what we wanted and knew just how the villa should look. She gently encouraged ideas for colours and style to suit both the villa, it’s location and to capture the feeling we wanted our guests to have when staying. Equally as importantly, Corinne remembered that we needed to feel like we were coming home whenever we visited. Discussions between ourselves about further changes now incorporate the question ‘what would Corinne think?’ before we go any further. We wanted simple but classic and are delighted with the results.
