About Us
At Greenwave Design we are inspired by, and work with nature. We design subtle garden spaces that change with the seasons and provide havens for wildlife, as well as our clients.
Garden spaces need to work hard to accommodate a variety of activities: dining in the shade, morning coffee in the sun, quiet spaces for reading or large spaces to entertain a crowd. Our designs organise the space to meet all these needs beautifully and sustainably. Planting is designed to create a healthy balance with the soil and to support the local ecosystem. We aim to use recycled and reclaimed materials as much as we can and work to connect our gardens with the surrounding landscape.
Our lead designer, Michelle Wake, is an RHS medal winning designer and has a degree in garden design from Greenwich University. She is a full registered member of the Society of Garden Designers. She has over ten years experience designing gardens and also teaches at the Inchbald School of Garden Design. Greenwave Design is based near Frome, Somerset, and works on sites throughout Somerset, Wiltshire, North Dorset and South Gloucestershire.
We believe that in changing times gardens play an important role in helping us retain our balance. A garden can work on so many levels - providing food, fragrance, wildlife habitats, colour, sound, shelter and beauty. Our designs work hard to make the most of this precious outdoor space by creating gardens that soothe the spirit, stimulate the senses and connect with nature.
