Ewa , Thank you so much for your inquiry regarding the above photograph, the material used on the walls is actually and industrial weight wall covering that we offer, we have hung this horizontally as opposed to its traditional method which we feel adds more impact and looks more authentic. It is supplied in double rolls 8.2 metres in length is 68.5 cm wide and costs £144.00 per roll. It is available from us in 9 colour ways and we can provide samples should you require them. Delivery appx 10 days from stock. It is extremely hard wearing and robust and we think it is stunning. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of any more service. Best regards Malcolm W Duffin.

Off hand, I'm not sure who the manufacture is. It could be a UK brand that is not offered in the US. Myson offers several towel warmers that are similar. If you need any help please let me know.

Hi there virginiagardengal. It sounds like you are in the U.S.A? We are a U.K. based interior design company and have sourced the towel rail you like in the picture from a U.K. based supplier.

Here's a quick sketch combining wooden slatted blinds, grey with dark tapes to match your island on the inside frame , nice Roman blinds on the outside frame to soften and warm use a cool print to keep it up to date, big soft window seat cushions feather and down for luxury with some cushions to tie it all together! The kitchen should be treated like an entertaining space and feel that with delightful cabinetry it should be finished off in a tailored, bespoke and charming way without feeling old fashioned. Best regards Malcolm W Duffin

Malcolm thank you! I love the big comfy seat and cushions - it's finding that perfect fabric combination ... Roman blinds on the outside I hadn't thought of - but would be a better width maybe.

Good Morning papillonhadley, thank you for your inquiry , we used two different colors of engineered hardwoods , one white oak and one chocolate cherry from memory, and had then installed in the herringbone design as shown. You could altenativly use two vinyls ie Karndean is an excellent product type for wear and tear and flexibility. I hope this helps, if you have any more questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards Malcolm W Duffin .

Thank you for all of the suggestions. I should have mentioned that the table and picture are merely there waiting to go into storage and out of the way! If I style as Malcolm suggested would it be best to leave the other two walls bare, allowing the mirrored wall to be the focal point? Also, would a rich, dark color work better or just keep it light as it already is?
Malcolm, I LOVE your sketch and so appreciate that you shared your input and talent with me!

I would keep your entry painted a light colour, darker colours close in a space and it sounds like you are trying to move away from the that. I would also suggest a new chandelier that would provide more light and new front doors that have more glass to let natural light into the room. An area rug as Malcolm suggested is a great idea but it should start right at the front door so that guests with wet shoes step on to it immediately when entering your home. I would recommend keeping a piece of art on the end wall as you have (but lower it) with a credenza or chest underneath it. Add a second grouping of art work on the wall to the right and a mirror on the wall to the left and you will have a beautiful and inviting entry.
