Comments (4)Would need a complete plan of the kitchen and not sure what 'Y' Line is? If you're short on space then it's better to have a kettle, at least you can pick them up, move them. We use the kettle not just for making cups of tea / coffee, but for filling trays etc after cooking, rinsing pasta etc, so being able to move the kettle is extremely useful....See MoreWhat’s the colour of your living room rug?

Comments (13)We have this one We also have the matching toaster in a grey kitchen. The cream one of these is a dark cream. We went with white to match the ceramic sink and our cannisters are the same. I think the accessories in a kitchen are really important. I think if you've got a black chopping board and what looks like a black hob, then I would probably have gone with the black one. Maybe you could move the little radio and then it won't clash if you're bothered. The chrome handles on the kettle go with your cupboard handles and will also go with the tap I presume?...See More

9 years agolast modified: 9 years agoStainless Steel Paderno. I have had it for 7 years. I especially like it because the steam doesn't come back against your hand as you are pouring. And it has a 25 year warranty. A lot of Canadians like a plug in kettle but I like the whistling stove top model because it can stay on the stove instead of taking up counter space.

9 years agolast modified: 9 years agoWe have two--a cute Calphalon aluminum kettle with a morel mushroom lid that has no whistle, and a practical stainless steel Oxo with a whistle. The cute one has been retired as too many members of the household just couldn't remember they had turned on the stove!

9 years agoWhen we re-did our kitchen 3 years ago we got rid of the kettle and installed an Insinkerator boiling / filtered water tap. It's the best thing we ever did and my once skeptical husband now wouldn't be without instant hot water.
