Advise on kitchen splashback / tiles please
Comments (28)Pity you have decided against glass in favour of tiles. We have just done our kitchen and I wanted an easy-to-clean surface for the splash back, so the rough surface of grouting around tiles, and also the indentations on some patterned tiles (which collect grease and grime) ruled them out for me! I went for glass, which the manufacturers matched exactly to the duck egg paint colour on the other walls (just gave them a product code of the paint), and although the initial outlay for the glass was expensive, the surface is so brilliant to keep clean and it looks fab as well. I would definitely recommend, and you could match it to, say, your lovely pink/purple ceiling lights ......See MoreSmall living/dining room furniture layout advise needed please
Comments (2)Personally, I think corner sofas really restrict positioning and getting 2 gives you a lot more flexibility. Re the radiators, I would try and avoid putting any behind the sofa on the right hand side as the sofa will soak up lots of the heat. Instead I would suggest going for a vertical model instead and putting it to the side of the French doors. Give me a call on 01274 515734 if you need some advice regarding heat outputs, etc....See MoreCould you advise on paint colours please?
Comments (9)Sorry, I never came back to my post as I really had to find a paint. It was (minor) panic stations at the start of the week. I settled on wimborne white on three of the walls and then the designers guild cantucci on one wall. It looks really lovely. I not need to decide on kitchen cabinet colours. I've got a bit of time to do that though. Thank you for all of your suggestions. It was really helpful....See MoreIdeas for empty space above stairs
Comments (24)I have the same space, but all ready have a cupboard accessible from the bedrooms. Trying to decide whether to board over the space to have a sloping ceiling which is what a neighbour has just done. We would then extend the cupboard, but don’t really want to add another door from the bedrooms. Or possibly make a feature and cover it with large antique style mirror tiles. Please post pictures of what you do?...See MoreEllen Bergherm
