Comments (19)i can't choose. i love victorian gothic, it's all so over the top & ornate. i love art deco with heavy emphasis on the organic. maybe i'm a lone voice here but i do like mid century & reminding me of grandparents & parents (in the 70s) is not a bad thing in my book. it makes me feel warm & cosy. also love industrial but that's not a period is it? most of all i like well designed things that are functional, things that people have thought about although i have to admit i've lusted after a few items that could be considered form over function. i think i like the design period of 'now' where we have all of history to choose items from but we're still look forward with new technology to where we can go next. errr, that doesn't really answer the question does it?? oops....See MorePOLL: Pick your favourite Shelfie!

9 years agolast modified: 9 years agoI prefer fresh, vibrant coloured accessories in house design to enhance a neutral background. I'm a purple freak, love orange and often wear reds and fresh-greens (I love Desigual dresses!)
I just feel that a strong colour changes the feel of any space, bringing depth and adding interest. My own living room would be dreadfully boring, if not for the rug and painting. Same with my bathroom without the orange or the kitchen without the red.
