My rug. I liked my furniture and arm chairs and coffee tables but something still felt missing. I suspected the right rug would bring my living room together so I set out a mission to find the rug - one that would delineate the space, give a lived in feeling and tell a story. Took 2 years, but finally found one from Kashmir while traveling. It's patterns are subtle and vibrant at the same time. I love the warmth it adds to the living room. Silky soft to sit on, and the best part is, it reminds me of my travels.

I think that people mostly wallpaper all their walls, or, just one feature wall (usually the one you face when sitting) I was looking at the thread of emails and Moniker sent 2 pictures right at the beginning that I think look fab. A few subtle changes in your room that would make a big difference are getting bigger bedside lamps and getting a large statement piece of art or perhaps even a large mirror instead (which would make the space look lighter and brighter too) I'm not sure what your budget is but changing the carpet to a neutral cream or taupe would also help tie the room together. I'd personally dress the window with a simple Roman blind or roller blind a bit bigger than the window as having curtains behind the bed may be a tad difficult to manage? However, if you are in love with the idea of wallpaper, you could always paper three walls first, and based on how you think it looks, either leave it at that or continue with the forth wall.

Hello, Have you seen http://www.ixxidesign.com/producten/beeldenbank/kunst/van-gogh? If you like Blossom prints they have Van Gogh's Almond Blossom print that you can make as big as you like to fit your wall or headboard space. I was very tempted to use this when redecorating my bathroom recently and will probably do a feature wall in my bedroom when I get round to it. They seem to have a large image bank of other art work if the colour is too much. What I like is that you can take the design with you if you move, unlike expensive wallpaper! Good luck with yours! The smart compact kitchen is an ingenious use of limited space! We love the innovative design and the different levels and widths of the shelves make it both interesting to look at and functional. The makeshift breakfast bar is a great addition as it gives the end user flexibility to create more space when necessary. We LOVE it!
