POLL: How do you listen to music?
Comments (26)On a kindle or a laptop hooked up to bluetooth speakers, sometimes iTunes, sometimes YouTube, sometimes playlists ripped from (my own) CDs of yesteryear. It would be nice, however, to have a hard drive with a stored music database in one room, operable through a tv interface, perhaps, with speakers in all the other rooms... for those I want to bop around while doing housework days....See MorePOLL: What time do you eat dinner?
Comments (25)Being an avid home gardener, wood worker, single home owner, and having to work on things around the house, it depends on what I'm doing and when I stop working on something; so for me, the time I eat supper can range from 7:00pm until 10pm; but when I plan a visit my dad, he has dinner at 5:00pm, so I have to be by him at about that time or he might put away the leftovers before I get there....See MorePOLL: Cup or mug - is there a difference?
Comments (34)hmmm - bone china or not? mug or not? I don't really care as long as I get a large hot drink in whatever comes to hand. As long as it's CLEAN and not chipped! Can't say there's any beautiful or valuable pieces I use for everyday, they get broken too often in our household! Saying that I do have a lovely V&B crockery set and have the cups & saucers too but they get saved for special occasions and guests, but I believe Villeroy & Boch are porcelain aren't they???!!! Haven't had any complaints yet. Don't come to my house if you can't drink from anything but bone china. :)...See MorePOLL: How often do you have guests over?
Comments (8)We used to have friends over at least once a month but that has dwindled lately. I have to say though it is hard work with the cleaning and cooking and I normally spend hours choosing a menu whereby most of the food can be prepared in advance so I'm only in the kitchen for a few minutes. It also costs a fortune, there is always that worry that you'll run out of drink so we buy enough to stock a pub! Part of me thinks it's easier to go out for dinner to avoid the hassle but it is nice to be in your home so you can properly relax, talk as loudly as you want, play music etc and not rush to get on a train or something home...See Morekarelina
