Comments (44)HiTino Felly, Marie Here. Your off to a great start - but you've made a common mistake in that you've found your inspiration for your colour palette, but your not committing to it. You need to bring the greens and blues up onto the walls and onto the floor - commit to it. You could: - add a great throw rug underneath the bed, - add big table lamp beside the bed - or better yet, a wall sconce, - drapery isn't really the best choice for this bedding - I would have brought in a bold graphic print here, in either the blue or the green - artwork can stay neutral - even do a collection of mixed metals in chrome, gold, and have fun with that - if you add too much in the blue and green it becomes boring and un-special. Choose your accessories carefully, I'd change out your drapery - go with something bolder, I'd also get a larger night stand so you could put a proper table lamp there. Good Luck!...See MorePlease Help Me Improve My Bedroom.
Comments (4)Hi Tino! I see what you mean, it is missing a little something. A few things you could do: 1) You mentioned a grey-yellow-white theme and your inspiration pic also goes that way but in your actual room there is no sign of the yellow. What it would do is bring depth and points that your eyes will naturally focus on when you look at your room. When you don't have that it's easy to feel like the room is plain. Especially if you look at your third picture (just the bed) it's very pastel, almost faded so bring some contrast. 2) Your light fitting to me is just too plain, it's very standard looking so I would go for something a little more unique, without going crazy of course but even a glass one for example like this: Available here: https://www.hutsly.com/collections/lighting/products/warsaw-glass-globe-pendant-light 3) The third thing is that currently your bed is a little lost in the room, against a white background. I would add bedisde tables and table lamps and more importantly I would put wall art up, maybe a couple of square pictures above the bed or one large one. That will also instantly change the feel of the room. Maybe something geometric to tie in with your (very cool btw) carpet. Available here: https://www.hutsly.com/collections/wall-art/products/agadir-canvas So something a bit like this (excuse the poor Photoshopping!): Hope that helps a bit, Anthony....See MoreOur Little Girls Colourful Bedroom on a Budget.
Comments (5)what a beautiful transformation. I love your choice of colours as well as the wallpaper, especially incorporating it into the built in cupboards. glad to see you reinstated the picture rail and paid attention to the details i.e bakerlite light switch. just shows how beautiful 1930s houses can be!...See Moretransform bedroom
Comments (18)Agree with most other posts. The bed needs to have access on both sides. I'd pick a nice calming shade for the wall tgat the headboard is on and stick to that for your accessories (bedding, curtains etc). Cant say what colour as everybody is different, my daughter loves blue but I find it makes me feel cold! I definately wouldn't go pastel though. The green that someone posted above looks lovely, but go with your gut instincts when you're looking at paint charts. You could even go with a red to match your picture but it's hard to carry off a red in a bedroom as many reds are too "tarts boudoir"! The shiny black wardrobes scream of "teenage boy". Its not a very relaxing feel. If it's a cost thing, could you paint them in a cream or white to make them blend into the wall.. I'd use the middle of the wardrobes to store your boxes, if you need extra storage space. The storage boxes you have stacked up can be covered in whatever wallpaper or colour you pick for your wall....See MoreMarta Scorziello
