Well maybe something like a teal or a charcoal if you want to keep to the grey theme.. Either way fabulous with brassy fittings.. A gorgeous mirror and some wall lights like in your pic.. The new Curio wallpaper range at Cole & Son Quartz could be lovely if a lighter scheme is more your idea. I also love this in the gold and charcoal. I'm actually putting it in the kitchen. This one like the geometric pictured in the above pic is also Cole & Son and either would be lovely with silvered mirror and then I suggest Nickel taps! :))

Hi Karen, What a fantastic statement sofa - this is going to look great in your Living room. I would suggest you keep all your walls one colour, as the impact will be from your sofas, but I’d avoid putting a darker colour behind your sofa as it may result in this statement blending into the wall colour and not having the ‘wow’ piece you are wanting. I would recommend either Potters Clay 3, which is a pale, greyed off, taupe colour, or Chalk Blush 3 which is a pale, redder toned neutral. Both of these colours have a red undertone so will sit nicely against the purple colouring in your sofa. I’ve picked out a gorgeous mirror and lamp which I think will look great in your living room (below). I’d also suggest looking out for individual statement pieces for accessories to complete your room. The Persian rug is lovely. We have several (sitting room, study, hall, bedroom ..... they're a bit addictive), with fabric using a couple of the colours in each for stuff like cushions, curtains etc. with neutral walls. I agree with minnie about the patterns. To get the right colour combinations, at a reasonable price, you could find a company that does a range with the colour or colours you're looking for and then look for remnants on ebay, to get them at bargain prices. That's worked well for us. Given that the photo is taken quite close to the bed I assume the room isn't large so a bold wallpaper could well overwhelm the space and take away the calm feel you have achieved. I like the lamps and agree with what Molly20100 says. I'm interested that most people like the headboard - my first reaction to the picture was that if the h/b colour was more related to the curtains it would tie the scheme together but that is probably the most difficult thing to change and as KK1000 says it is a spare room. A general point about cushions on beds - where do you put them in a small room when you want to sleep, I've experienced this in a very small spare room ( of course they filled the only space, the floor)
