Ensuite bathroom with reclaimed wood feature wall? Design help!
Comments (17)There is just the issue of the cupboard in he corner, do you think I should go brown to match the vanity unit, white or grey? Or a mix? My husband started painting the doors in a light blue colour but it doesn’t seem to come together with the rest of the scheme unless I put some down in it somewhere? Any ideas?...See MoreDesign help re super tiny bathroom
Comments (12)Hi You need to check re soil pipe - my opinion is that it is best to keep the WC as close to the soil pipe as possible to avoid unnecessary problems. You may want to opt for a free standing bath which would add glamour to the room - you can find various sizes (see link below just for an idea) https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/1650-x-750-luxury-modern-double-ended-curved-freestanding-bath Or Back to wall 1500x750 https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/orion-1500-x-750mm-small-back-to-wall-modern-square-bath?campaign=googlebase&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqIDjyp7Z3gIVVOJ3Ch1BiQfcEAQYBCABEgLdzfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds An Offset bath may allow some more flexiblity in the room as the space is rather tight. See https://www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/carron-quantum-spacesaver-offset-bath-1700mm-750mm-left-handed-5mm-acrylic-q4-02179?utm_source=google&utm_medium=Shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwerA-Z_Z3gIVyeR3Ch0ZdQQSEAQYBSABEgKlufD_BwE and https://www.heatandplumb.com/acatalog/cleargreen-ecocurve-shower-bath-1700mm-r16?utm_source=google&utm_medium=Shopping&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI_9fLuKLZ3gIVS1XTCh2H3gcNEAkYDSABEgLGa_D_BwE A Slimline vanity or floating shelf with a narrow but long basin could be an option https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk/valencia-995mm-black-ash-wall-hung-basin-unit?campaign=googlebase&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIwb6Fn6PZ3gIVWOJ3Ch0mGwqEEAQYAiABEgIJa_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds You have to find a compact wall hung WC to ensure that there's as much room as possible. I have done two sketches - and have specifically kept away from putting the bath under the window due to soil pipe. I have proposed that you open the door outwards or maybe consider changing to a folding door as per images below If you need any further advise my design practice can help you....See Morehelp with bathroom design please
Comments (9)I finally have a bathroom designer coming out in a week or so time. Already they have asked me questions such as do I want tiling all over and other details re fixtures and fittings. What is the recommendation / popular choice re tiling. Is it all over and if so do I use same tile or different in different areas? Is there a better colour tile to use to keep it timeless? And what is the opinion of recess in wall in shower / above bath? Are they practical / useful or expensive for what they are/ difficult to clean? Any other things I should consider in advance of meeting? And is there anything special I should ask for which makes it look the bees knees? And realistically does my budget need to be higher? Sorry for all the questions!...See Morehelp with Bathroom Design over stairs!!
