Master bathroom vanity

Hi :) I recently retiled my bathroom and am confused regarding what colour vanity top to choose . The tiles are a greyish beige colour and all the bathroom fittings are white , jacuzzi tub, wc , sink etc. it's an under counter sink . I'm confused between a white counter top, Nero marquina marble or maybe dark emparador marble . I feel the black will give an elegant look but the white will look clean and subtle . What do you think . The pics attached are just to give an idea of the color , bathroom was unfinished in these pics and still

Comments (2)Hi Daniel, The cabinets in the top photo are custom-made from Crystal Cabinetry in the US: shown is a veneer of lyptus wood over a slab substrate. Wall hung vanity units are available from Ikea and some Italian cabinetry lines. Pine cabinetry may be had, but it is a softer wood than oak or maple (and others). Maple or alder may be an alternative as each can take a light stain well. Do you have some pictures of the space you're trying to design--is it new construction or renovation? Comments (1)When I plan, i like to try to visualise exactly what will greet me when i open the door. In this case I chose not to see either the toilet or bidet, and to give the persons using those a little privacy. ( I'm guessing that plumbing requirements dictate that the soil pipe be near to the outside wall with the window on it. ) Therefore, upon opening the door, straight ahead is the double vanity with low (false ) wall behind it ( i made mine 1.2 Metres high ), This gives way to room for possibly a small shelf etc upon which to put soap etc. It also disguises behind it, the toilet and bidet, now not visible from the door. The toilet roll holder will site on the wall on the left next to the toilet. You also have room to hang towels on the wall to the left of the basins. The bath went in the top right corner ( and drains straight through the outside wall ) . Then to the immediate right upon opening the door, a large walk in shower. Comments (18)I've been thinking about options to cover all basis and came up with this. To allow guests to use a bath/shower the ensuite would be shared. I added a wall in the master bedroom to divide it and add privacy so guests don't have to walk into the bedroom to get to the bath/shower. The upsides are that the ensuite is larger, includes a bath and shower and has more vanity room. Also, by diving the bedroom I can add sort of a walk-in wardrobe. The downsides are that there's only one bath/shower that has to be shared and guests have to walk through the walk-in wardrobe to get to it. Also, it reduces the size of the master bedroom but it's quite a long room anyway and it would cut out the light from the windows in the bedroom. Comments (13)If you intend staying here for a decade then you should make this house work for you and not the next people. I think that since you have already flagged extending in 10 years you should also future proof your plans now. If it were me I would have a bedroom where the current big bathroom is in order to give you the possibility of later extending over the ground floor extension. I would also want a super sized bathroom for my use - I have always believe the person paying the mortgage should have a better bathroom than people who visit three times a year. And I would take the view that when a loft bedroom is later added it won’t matter if one of the four bedrooms is compact. So I offer an alternative....See More
