Comments (4)Hi. You've got a neutral base so you can really choose what colours you like. I like EB with grape/plum colours as per the first pic. For the wing chair you could look at Designers Guild nabucco fabric shown in 2nd pic and mix it with different shades of purple. The cushions and linen throw are from Oka, I'd team the plum cushion with a plain mustard/chartreuse velvet though and choose plain off white bedding. Are the shutters ordered? If not I'd choose wide slats to allow more light in. For curtains assuming they're not dress curtains I'd keep them light, either a light shade of greige, maybe a linen, or a light amethyst. Id also add a large mirror to bounce a bit more light around. If you don't have table lamps I might look at gold, brass or the mustardy colour...See Moreadvice on master bedroom wall colour
Comments (20)Hi Anna, have you considered a monochrome interior? The versatility of monochrome allows it to be combined effortlessly with other styles such as Scandinavian or industrial chic. It’s an easy look to achieve and if done correctly looks stunning. You just need to remember to vary tints and shades of a single colour to great effect otherwise you’ll end up with a ‘monotonous’ look. If you’re looking to create a softer Scandinavian approach to your living room then select brown shades. Warm up the monochrome palette with a super-soft carpet, such as Cormar’s lustrous Sensation collection, and lots of cosy textures that soften the edges and keep it homely. Hope that helps!...See MoreWhat to do with our master bedroom?
Comments (5)Minnie - The carpeting is just a light beige and the windows are, in my opinion, oddly placed. There is one on the east side set in the middle of the wall, and another on the south side that is offset (it's the longest wall) and sits within 2-feet of the ensuite. The room gets an abundance of light. We are having to keep the furnishings for now, though we are contemplating moving the wardrobe into one of the kids' rooms as our two eldest are off to uni (we'll replace to two singles and put a trundle into what is currently the boys' room for the girls to use when they come for visits). Lokaj - that blue with the paddle in the photo is gorgeous and far more along the lines of what I've been looking for. Thank you! Jen P - haha! At least it's not just me that scratches their heads at this. We're talking about putting flooring in the attic just to create additional storage so we can avoid stuffing everything to the brim....See MoreHelp with Bedroom Design
Comments (17)Hi! just getting back to this after the Christmas break! thanks for all the replies! I am very happy with how it’s turning out. painting the radiator the wall colour seems fairly popular lately. I’ve painted all mine white but could go back and repaint them. I think I’ve got some of the wall paint left. :) I took some of the advice and hung a large piece of art over the bed with a white frame. I’ve moved the plant to the other side of the drawers. It does look better there! I’ve added a new plant which wasn’t as tall as the old one so I put it on the old bedside table. I think it works well. went with your suggestion of the wicker baskets. :) I Just need to fill the opposite wall now. I like the suggestion of a gallery wall but I don’t want to over do it With too much art. Maybe black and white photography could be nice? That gold eagle is very cool! hanging some photos on the mirror is a great idea thanks! I will have to try find some nice hanging plant pots too. Then I think I just need some cushions on the bench? And maybe a few more things on the bedside table and I’m done! Possibly some new blinds or curtains but that can wait! Phew!...See MoreLuciana
