How do I dress this window?
Comments (2)Hello Michelle, you have two options, first you could get roman blinds. They always look nice and became timeless classic in many homes. Second - you still can have curtains. You buy recess bracket, check the link https://www.polesandblinds.com/curtain-poles/accessories/curtain-pole-brackets-connectors/recess-brackets/ You could install it on a wall above wardrobe door. It would make your room's ceiling look higher and it is great feature when room is small....See MoreHow do I make room less formal ?
Comments (36)It is quite formal, but by hanging your pictures in a less orderly way, more ramshackle than perfection, might help. more paintings, more photo frames, more personal. if you always have symmetricallly placed things then it will automatically look formal, try being less symmetrical! the room also perhaps lacks some other textures, try something fluffy ( not my normal go to phrase), a couple more cushions in a non- co-ordinated co-ordinate - complicated huh?...something like a woolly burnt orange in a different shape, rectangular or round, even a velvet. it is a lovely room and well considered but often when people design a room they miss tiny details. you are a stones throw away from perfection. please get in touch if you are in the glasgow area and need a wee help finding the perfect thing - always happy to help...See Morehow do I do this?
Comments (7)looks like 2 integrated 900 tall appliances to me, you'll have to put a fixed shelf into the cabinet to stand the top (fridge?) appliance on, then another fixed shelf to keep this top appliance in place. then if the bottom appliance (freezer?) has a standard hinges on the cabinet and glides (the sliders that connect the fascia door to the appliance) this will be indepandant to the top door and fitted in the standard way. the top appliance has the hinges on the applaince, ideally you need a blank door (undrilled for hinges) and then measure up and down for the hinge location and drill the door with 35mm holes for the hinge cups and these will also need a couple of glides. awful lot of work to do for a couple of old second hand appliances with bits missing...See MoreCan I get ready made curtains for wider windows 4.5m track
Comments (5)I have a bay window which is 365cm wide. Over the years I found wide enough curtains at Dunelm, but they don’t seem to do this size anymore. I also made my own curtains once. It wasn’t difficult but quite laborious. I found a cheapish plain fabric, joined it up to increase the width, hemmed it all round, then attached heading tape. They looked pretty good. Eventually, I ordered made to measure curtains at Laura Ashley which I still love. They cost around £550 for the bay window. One thing you could do is buy two pairs of curtains (so 4 individual curtains). When they are open you will not see the gaps, or maybe you could tack them discretely together? Just an idea....See Morepcmom1
