POLL: Do you sleep with the blinds open or closed?
Comments (19)unless I can live where people can't see into my room (Ok I do have a pretty voile but I have very nosey neighbours - and noisy - so the blind comes down, the voile is there and then there is a double thickness with blackout and heat/cool lining curtains! Possibly over the top - or not... I get migraines which means total darkness and silence for at least 10 hours - impossible to do with just the blinds or voile!...See MorePOLL: Shower curtains - classic, colourful or crazy?
Comments (4)I have a glass shower screen in both my main bathroom and shower room ensuite. When I was a student my digs had very cheap nylon shower curtains which used to spring to life as soon as the shower was turned on and float in and stick to the body! They were very annoying and did sort of put me off them permanently. That said in my last house I had an art deco style bathroom and had a double shower curtain - waterproof on one side and gold fabric externally. Now my new house has glass screens - and for the ensuite I had self cleaning glass so I now only have one screen to clean! My vote is for glass :)...See MorePOLL: Blend or bold? Comments (5)For my first roman blind I used a roman blind kit from Dunelm, worked out great. I then used those instructions to go on to make a further 12 (never buy a house with 5 sided bay windows!) and purchased the bits needed from terrysfabrics as mentioned by Catherine Byrne. They are really straightforward. The key is to take your time with your measurements/calculations and with ensuring your edges and rod pockets are straight....See MorePaul Christian
