Need help with bathroom floor

Hi all. I'd like to replace the carpet in my bathroom with some laminate flooring. My house is decorated generally in neutral colours throughout and the carpet is the same in every room. I am unsure as to what colour flooring I should go for as I think I would like the house to retain a similar flow throughout? But maybe some colour would be good in the bathroom? I am having trouble visualising it. Shall I keep it all white and just have bright coloured bathmats/towels, or should I go for dark or grey flooring?
I did pick up some long white oak effect laminate tiles from B&Q, but I’m really not sure? I would also like to keep it to a small budget as I am just trying to make my house more saleable.

Comments (4)Hi. I'm not an expert and often a little knowledge is dangerous! However we had a very uneven floor in our lounge and wanted to install a solid wood floor as the original was not in good condition. The floor can be levelled either using a self levelling compound or by fitting a plywood floor over the top of the original. You should then be able to have the flooring type you want. Vinyl is good quality and great for bathrooms but you do need the floor to be boarded before it can be laid. Comments (23)Hi Michael, Sorry, but I have to partially disagree with you on this, daylight colour temperature is 6500K not 4000K. Yes, 4000K is warmer than 6500K but it does not give a truer representation of colour. Colour representation is measured using the colour rendering index or CRI. The closer to 100, the closer to daylight. The Megaman LEDs are 80 CRI for each of the colour temperatures. That said, the 4000K fitting will produce a brighter and cleaner feel to the room. However, it can look too harsh at night. 2700K is closer to traditional halogen fittings. It can look duller during the day, but looks a lot more welcoming in the evening - perfect for a soak in the bath. Comments (10)Hi. I'm a bit confused, have you bought the vanity and are looking to paint it? Is the rest of the bathroom fitted as you could add brass or copper taps for instance with a matching mirror? Accessories will also warm it. I like a little wooden stool in a bathroom which you can add accessories to i.e. A candle, natural sponge, flannel etc which has some texture. A plant on the window sill if you have one and then nice accessories for the sink and either some coloured towels or I like hammam ones. I've found a couple of pics but they may not post as houzz has issues :( These are using deep rich colours which may bring the cabinet towards you a little.
