I think there is enough room to treat it like a room. I would furnish it with sofas, outdoor rugs and a table and chairs. I would put plants in massive pots so they need infrequent watering. I would likely add some interest to the walls with climbers and trellis and mirror. I would also consider privacy so perhaps a parasol or sails or a pergola?

Who helped you with the design of your kitchen? Did you get a 3D render so now what it will look like? I am afraid I agree with the above that if you can change it you should definitely go for the white gloss handle-less as it will look much cleaner. If you can not change at this point I am sure there are things we can look at and work tops that can help integrate the two colours.
