Hi there, You have a really great room and some modern wall art is definitely the way to go to finish it up, We have lots of large canvases available on Hutsly (http://www.hutsly.com/collections/wall-art/material_canvas) including some in the colours you were after but I would have to agree with the comment above about using different colours to give a bit of life and colour to your space, maybe something like this: Available here. Or this one: Available here. Or this other one: Also available here. They could work for both the wall behind your sofa and the one behind your TV and for example the first and last one are in a similar theme so they would go well together. And for your kitchen wall I would pick something in a portrait format like this: Available here. Or this one which I love too: Available here. Otherwise you could do a display wall here with lots of different prints like the ones on here. Hope that helps!

Hi Sharon, why not install an interesting victorian wall panelling? Like the one on the link below and photos attached. You can paint it in any colour and it’s an elegant, contemporary solution for English bathrooms. Remember to look at the aspect of the room, before going for a strong teal colour. It’s extraordinary how different the colours look, depending on whether the room faces north, south, east, or west. And don’t forget nighttime with electric lighting. Also, if your sofa is a deep teal, you could choose a much paler aqua/greeny blue, for your feature walls, and the other walls maybe an even paler shade than those, if your room is light. On the other hand, if the room is a bit gloomy, you could use a contrasting and complementary colour for the feature walls, such as a deep gold, a warm peach, or apricot, or even a warm soft pink (similar, maybe, to F&B’s Setting Plaster or Pink Ground). Depends upon what colours you actually like, as you have to live with it. Teal is basically a blue green, so if not using teal and its paler tones for walls, look for colours that are warm, on the opposite side of the colour wheel.

Hi Sonia and T Gray, fellow Houzz contributors, thank you for your replies. I don't know how old the piece is, I just know that it has been proposed for being removed/trashed and I just want to save it. It is beautiful on the inside as well with many drawers and shelves. I am attaching a picture with the part that is affected by sun (?). I suspect it's made of solid wood and veneer on top. Really not sure what to use in order not to damage it more. Thanks to you, I am not going to paint it!
