the sofa was pink with white feathers on it and it said red josephine when im looking up i cant find it 07894889984 could u help me please

Although we've gone for fabric in this poll, we know that for most of us this very much comes down to a choice between comfort and aesthetic. Leather is a bit more of an acquired taste when you're talking about comfort, whereas the right fabric sofa comes with comfort built in. If like us you love great textile design, a sumptuous fabric sofa is definitely an opportunity to explore the work of some well established textile designers like Margo Selby or new breed upholstery & textile design houses like Native Flok in Edinburgh. Okay, so you may just be looking for a lovely, comfortable sofa you can curl up on and watch Strictly, but even then, if approached with a sense of adventure, navigating the brave new world of textile design can still be very exciting stuff!

Great colour combo you chose. You can't go wrong with that. Just make sure that all colours are well balanced. I haven't seen the room but personally I would keep the chimney breast duck egg, unless you want the ochre to dominate more. Even though these 3 colours are your starting point bring in additional neutral to balance them out, like your sofa fabric for example. I would break up the scheme with white, pale grey etc. Also think about accessories such as rug, cushions, patterns or statement lighting which will make the scheme cohesive and interesting. Update: Lamp, cushions and plant in place. Printer stayed where it was simply because no space anywhere else, but I’ve closed it up so it’s not so obvious, I hope! Thanks again for all your advice.

I think a neutral sofa is a good choice. Navy is actually quite a neutral shade that will go with so many colours. I also like charcoal grey, and let’s not knock a cream or beige sofa! I agree that it’s best to base a rooms decor around the most expensive item and work from there. I think you will tire of a bright pink sofa. I fell in love with a bright red sofa once, but came to my senses and bought a more neutral one! So glad I did. How about a range of pink cushions on a navy/grey sofa? Or pick , say, the mustard yellow in the rug and get cushions to match? A rug would ideally be one of the final purchases to pull it all together. However, you may find the rug will fit in well with a new neutral sofa, so don’t discard it yet. I love a jazzy rug and it has that trendy vintage look. Here’s some ideas. T
