Comments (16)You have a lovely bedroom, however, I'm a believer in 'Less is more' and I think a Roman blind with shutters would make the windows look fussy. Presumably, the shutters give the required amount of privacy so why not simply replace the curtains with a material of your own choice. They would also give a little extra warmth during the winter evenings....See MoreCurtains/blinds help for back doors help!
Comments (6)I've been thinking about different ways i could dress my sliding doors, and i'm thinking it might be nice to go for something quite interesting rather than purely practical. So you could get some hooks or door knobs/handles or something similar that you could screw in either side, and tie a nice thick rope going across. Then you could slot through a sheer or soft style curtain and tie up with some pretty ribbon. I couldn't quite find a photo to illustrate but this is sort of similar. Hope this helps!...See MoreHelp with curtains/blinds for a difficult, dorma style bedroom window
Comments (2)Hi Lisa, I completely understand your dilemma, I'm moving house soon and have exactly the same type of window as you. My suggestion would be to have a Voile roller blind, as I know that you said you don't like Voile curtains. This would be a great way of keeping your privacy in the room, whilst still allowing plenty of light into your room. I'd then pair this with Dorma Window Curtain Poles (the would be to the side of the recess rather than within). I've attached images of both of my suggestions below. This may be one of the better options if you're looking at trying not to lose too much light from your room. I hope my suggestions help, let me know! Comments (14)Hi Lucy, Have you considered roller blinds on the french doors like the photo below? We installed these sunscreen roller blinds on the actual doors as they open inwards too. When fitting blinds to french doors, you need to make sure that the blinds clear the door handle and the hinges. Here is another example of sunscreen roller blinds we installed to the actual french doors. Here's an example of roller blinds from our 'basics' range which we fitted to a set of french doors and windows.
