Comments (50)Supervintagegirl- have you every seen or read about "Extreme Irining" as a sport? There are World Championships in it. Got a book on it as a fun wedding present for a cousin who has been known to ask you to take of some item of clothing that you are wearing as you stand in front of her so she can iron it for you!! I kid you not .... My SIL not far behind. Spent 4hrs - FOUR FULL HOURS - Irining her 20 something year olds shirts the other evening !!! It would take less time to train them to do their own. Comments (40)I never, ever change mine. I use a butcher block and a huge thick wooden cutting board, only taking care to keep my fruits from suddenly tasting like onions or garlic. Studies have shown that a wooden cutting board is naturally resistant to bacteria, so I scrape and then wash mine off with soap and water after use. All this absurd paranoia about cleanliness is the product of marketing, not science, and the supposedly more sterile plastic ones are actually much better petri dishes for bacterial growth, which is why they must be cleaned and disposed of regularly. 8 years agoYes, my dogs receive Christmas presents. Cooper, my Brittany, loves his rawhide "bones", and my Labrador Retriever, Semmes, is quite proud of his duck dummy! Happy Christmas!

8 years agoLast year the cat got a new bed, the chickens got a treat tin and the geese got a floating ball for the pond.
It's the giving that's important, not which species you're giving to, or whether they are aware of it. I'm not religious but I love celebrating the fact that we all made it through another year.
