How can I make this wow?
Comments (12)Good afternoon Joanne! That's a lovely modern space so you've got a great base to work with. For the window treatment it could be really nice to have curtains along the whole length of that wall with the french windows. Almost like this but only on one wall: You can have one sheer curtain that lets light through and then have some heavier curtains in front which can say open during the day. This would add a softer/cozier side to the room. In terms of light fitting I am a big fan of the Diner Pendant: It's available here: https://www.hutsly.com/search?type=product&q=diner+pendant and in either 3 or 4 lights and in brass, nickel or black. That will instantly add some WOW! Then for that back wall I love Isidora's first picture reference with narrow shelves to display art. Something like this: Depending on how narrow you make those shelves you can then mix framed pictures and ornaments. If you are looking for art have a look at our selection here: https://www.hutsly.com/collections/wall-art And finally a big rug underneath the table to complete the picture and you're set! Perhaps a rug with subtle patterns or no patterns as you would then have a lot going on: Available here: https://www.hutsly.com/collections/rugs/products/karma-abstract-rug-in-ash-grey or look at our whole range here: https://www.hutsly.com/collections/rugs Hope that helps and do show us the final results! Would love to see what it looks like all done! Anthony....See MoreHow do i make this warmer and add feature?
Comments (21)A feature wall behind the bed would look great. Wallpaper, wall mural, paint, paneling, loads of options with choices of colour pattern and texture. I’d go for a subtle wallpaper with a metallic hint to reflect the light, perhaps a faux Venetian plaster finish with peeps of metallic silver or gold or maybe a marble effect. Nice big light fitting whichever suits your taste and a simple roman blind at the window. Sit the Roman blind higher above the window so when pulled up the folds don’t interfere with the daylight. @Pam Dee . Comments (5)Congratulations on your lovely new space & completed in time for Santa! We love colour, but a little word of warning, you can get tired of it very fast or it can date. Our advice is any expensive piece is an investment and should be neutral. The colour could be added with paint, cushions on your hanging chairs & sofa, a rug , dining chairs and accessories. Art is a great way of adding personality and colour too. Enjoy your space....See Morehow can I add kerb appeal?
Comments (9)Hi, So the door that we see is your back door? Would it be possible to put the caravan there, under some sort of pergola structure with climbing plants on it? And create a garden within the U-shape with a path to the front door, surrounded by plants? Maybe something with gravel? Could you post more photos (just taken from the ground) that show more of how you see the house when you arrive and where the front door is, etc.?...See MoreKala Construction Inc.
