Advice on curtian length in little girls pirate themed bedroom please
Comments (2)thanks - I agree with full length but yes the only radiator for the room is under it... I think we are out of time and need to buy some ready made curtains just not sure if 54 drop will look silly... there is a rail already there we will be using and unfortunately my hubby really does not like blinds......See MoreKitchen cabinet advice required! Comments (31)If you've got the time and the inclination (and budgets are tight) I reckon it's worth giving the paint a go to see how it looks. Lots of the kitchens we're doing for clients now are ones with painted finishes and although (as mentioned above) this isn't the most classic style/a bit old fashioned it will look completely different painted. New handles... save up for the kitchen you really want!...See Morehow to repair coving/crown molding?
Comments (6)Hi all Just wanted to give a quick update on our coving situation - in case it is ever useful for anybody :) I tried to find a matching coving to do Sarah suggestion but it was not possible. So in the end, some expending foam, hold with masking tape until solid enough. Once cured, cut it to match the coving shape, then used some filler (pollyfila) and sanded. Now that it is painted, it is almost invisible (I did a worse job on the ceiling, filling the cracks after removing the textured wallpaper- that was hell!) Here some progress pictures and final result :) (still need to paint the walls) It will probably be indeed frowned upon as it is probably not the “proper” way to do it, but as a temporary measure for the next 3-4 years (until we can afford our kitchen diner extension, in which this wall will be removed anyway) it will do! ;) Thanks to all for your advices and support - Houzz is so great for this :)...See MoreCrown moulding and stained baseboard
Comments (5)I really like your blue grey walls. The colour looks great with the dark baseboard and your new flooring. I think the white moulding flows seamlessly into the white ceiling and the dark baseboard into the dark flooring. My (UK) vote is for keeping it as it is....See Morescoots75
