Hi Denisa, I'm an architect and run a practice in London. I don't think you should rearrange the sanitary ware or fill in the window. Here's why: - The current configuration can work and will save time and money by keeping the plumbing in the same locations. - Getting rid of a window will reduce the amount of light and I think you have other options for storage. As well as your other suggestions, I attach a sketch of what I think you should do: - Move boiler to other location. - Knock down all partitions and remove doors. Retain part of the partition between the stair and current boiler / proposed shower. - Behind the door to the bathroom you could have a large cupboard [marked 'store' on the sketch]. Doing this will create a much larger bathroom without costly reconfiguration of plumbing. If a shower is a tight squeeze, you can get smaller baths... Hope that helps. Stephen

I really like the wall tiles, so let's start with the good bit. The floor could have been better as it competes with the wall, and I think you could have chosen a better tile, also, ones the same size as the tiles on the walls so that the grout lines could have married up. It's unlikely the floor could have been laid better as no rooms are square and you would have had cuts getting bigger on one of the walls, it's a shame that it happens to be the wall that you see the most of. ( If that's what you think is wrong with it. I agree the finish isn't great and the biggest problem I feel is the shower tray and terrible mastic around it. I would hide more of the floor by putting in a larger, lower profile tray end to end to make it look a lot more up market. It will take your eye away from the size of the floor tiles too, as there won't be so many of them. I would also paint the door as it just doesn't look right in white. If I were going to all that trouble, with the tray, then I would take up the floor tiles and use the wall tiles for the floor too. You could keep the glass the same size but definitely improve the tray. Here's one i've just finished.

As you have chrome, a chrome shelf unit would sparkle against the gray. With green plants - and if you aren't green thumbed faux plants are soo real these days! So you could go shiny with chrome accessories. Or you could go wood, bamboo with shelf or mirror, and accessories. The bath pic i think shows how well wood, chrome and plant greenery can work on a grey .
