This concrete floor looks quite warm & not grey. How was this achieved

Is it a surface finish or something added to the concrete?

Off-white cement and yellow sand - the surface is then burnished to provide a semi gloss finish

Do these go together? Looking at the pics they don't but maybe on a grey sofa? The happy cushion could be the middle one? I feel like I'm mixing two styles all wrong. Maybe a plain bright yellow cushion behind each blue one? My heads pickled lol

You could try changing the back-splash. A back-splash taken right across the wall would look much better as it will soften the overall feel and make the room look wider. Here are a couple of photos (you can see more on our web site in the feature about wall murals). Also as tamp75 said, some open shelves and potted herbs would look great and ferny, frond style plants will add a delicate texture to relieve the hard look. Here is a photo of our glass splash back ( if you wanted to go down a green colour scheme) . It is right across a wall and some open shelves and plants above. A great alternative colour is amber/pinky brown - Dead Salmon or Smoked Trout (last photo) from Farrow and Ball would look lovely on the walls if you didn't want to change your back-splash behind the hob, and then you can add wood accessories, shelves and plants. And finally you could add some pattern- The photo below shows Ca Pietra Trellis tiles which we can supply for walls and flooring

I have no idea yet on the floor - it will either be a grey tone or a warming brown wood in LVT (wood effect though, not tiles) Thought I would wait until the kitchen is in so I can get samples to put it next to it as we have custom F&B Off Black units and I haven't seen them yet, LOL. (they are being delivered Saturday!) eek. Don't want it to all feel too cold. We are still trying to finish replacing the floor joists and flooring in the lounge area in the evenings so hence struggling for time to decorate. Just can't think at the moment - might have to put one of our huge dust sheets over the units next week if I haven't decided soon. Will take a week or so before the quartz worktop comes anyway so there will be time I guess. Just a few units in the way/...

Adding some bright copper or gold would go well, copper especialy, mayby kitchen fittings in copper and dining fitting in a gold to contrast? painting the radiator in a metalic would look nice but might not be practical. Alternativly you could paint one whole wall in a mottled copper colour to warm the room up, maybe the wall behind the dining table (Or even panel the wall in copper colour paneling or tiles)
