Cushion colour and shape for Queens Park bedroom

We have used colours as per Queens Park bedroom .have white bedlinen with silver satin border. Ideas for cushions & throw please.

Hello again all and sorry for the delay! i have now got a throw and started to extend my gallery over the corner. I grabbed an old chair and rug that were kicking about in my parents' garage and put them in the corner to give me some idea of what i want. actually, i kinda like the beat-up chair but i don't think the rug looks right. is it too small? Now i have the reddish throw (LOVE it... from the Avoca shop in Belfast - amazing place, if you are ever in Belfast do go!!) I am actually considering replacing my blind because i prefer red tones to the turquoise. Just not sure what I would get instead? Still need a fab lamp and more cushions but wisdom says wait for the January sales! I still think I need something more eyecatching on my vanity too... Considering a map above my bed but I don't know if it would compete with the gallery wall too much? have to say i do love the "hello" sign!

People often suggest that blue is cold, but we have a blue on the greenish side - we had it mixed and I don't have the number any longer. Visually the nearest colour I could find online was Dulux Blue Reflection. http://www.designerpaint.com/products/dulux-paintpod/blue-reflection/80377 In this traditional room we use it with slightly shaded white woodwork and ceiling, a rather "bedroomy" persian rug that is basically cream with deeper blues, some ochre and a little peach, but we've previously used it with the paler citrussy green often called lemongrass as an accent colour for a more contemporary look, with pure white woodwork. It really is the true blue of the sky and feels like daylight, even on the darkest days - I think you might find that it works well in a darker bedroom. I've just taken a couple of photos on my camera to show the colour in daylight and artificial light - apologies for the quality, they may come out the wrong way round!

Hi - if you can afford to, I would definitely change the carpet for hard flooring as the carpet softens the look too much. Otherwise you could consider a large jute/sisal rug? The most striking difference would come from changing the headboard, though. Again I wouldn't go with a 'soft' look on this - in fact I think your room is screaming out for the repurposed wooden doors/floorboards/pallets look!! (there are many examples of such headboards on Houzz). If you are handy with DIY you could cut down the headboard & foot boards on your current bed and paint it, but make sure it's still structurally sound. I wouldn't lose the mirror yet - I think it might work with the worn wood/peeled painted wood look. I'd buy an industrial style light flex for the pendant light (black flex, metal end) & fit an industrial-style bulb. LHS wall is a little bright - consider darkening it and fitting wire boxes to the walls for shelving (I'd stick with the 'rule of 3' of these). Hopefully some lower cost ideas for you to finish off what is already a good start on your room transformation! Good luck.

What an interesting room! I'd have a clothes rail to the left or right of the bed depending on where the boiler is. In the little alcove would you be able to hang something like this for folded clothes? http://www.habitat.co.uk/firth-grey-printed-fabric-6-hanging-clothes-storage-340134 I'd then use the shelves for shoes/accessories/toiletries and then put bulky uni items under the bed.
