Help with curtains/blinds for a difficult, dorma style bedroom window
Comments (2)Hi Lisa, I completely understand your dilemma, I'm moving house soon and have exactly the same type of window as you. My suggestion would be to have a Voile roller blind, as I know that you said you don't like Voile curtains. This would be a great way of keeping your privacy in the room, whilst still allowing plenty of light into your room. I'd then pair this with Dorma Window Curtain Poles (the would be to the side of the recess rather than within). I've attached images of both of my suggestions below. This may be one of the better options if you're looking at trying not to lose too much light from your room. I hope my suggestions help, let me know! Comments (4)Am I right in thinking that your bay is not something you can walk into? That the window ledge/cill is a big flat surface? I can't quite see from the pic to be honest. If it is the case why not do venetians at the windows themselves with a longer curtain to go over the entire front. Best of both worlds? That way you get privacy, good heat retention and a large shelf to put some nice ornaments/sculpture etc....See MoreBlackout for arched window (curtain/blinds/shutters)?
Comments (1)Have a piece of thick MDF cut to fit it like a child’s wooden jigsaw - insert it at night - if it’s covered with wadding and fabric it will squeeze in and stop the light. In the daytime just sit it on the floor or keep it under the bed....See MoreImages of a circular window dressed with curtains or blinds?
