Glass bricks

Moving into new flat. Reasonable sized bathroom but low ceiling due to conversion of one home into two flats. Little light. Want to put in a walk in shower and was thinking of using glass bricks instead of glass for the partition that way the light can bounce of the bricks. Ever heard of glass bricks in a shower room? Could it work or is there a better option. Asked famous bathroom shop but they had no idea.
