Shower rail dilemma

I'm remodeling my bathroom and have hit a problem - I'm really struggling to find a shower rail that will work with the space and budget I have. I have a rigid riser shower in the centre of a freestanding bath, as shown in the picture. I was hoping to have a circular shower rail, but they all seem to be much wider than my bath, and will come out to very close to the ceiling light. The oval shaped ones would be an option, but are a lot more than I want to spend ideally (the cheapest I've found seem to be around £120).
Does anyone have any ideas of cheaper, smaller, or any DIY options? The bathroom is fairly traditional, but I'm not fussy about style or colour, I'm willing to adapt as necessary.

Comments (4)It's very small - the saniflow on a neighbours wall is not very sociable as the vibrations /noise could cause annoyance. So I'd probably suggest something along these lines as a starting point ... Basin near to window for good daylight . Loo opposite on internal wall. Leaving a small 800mm infold door shower ... Rad could go behind door ?! What would the affect be if you opened the door outwards into the bedroom ?! Victoria - like the idea of the vanity there with the toilet on the same side but i think with the space to the toilet it would feel very cramped as there would only be around 40cm between the vanity and toilet in which to stand. I know it's a concession but do you think having a 600 vanity and if i can run the waste round the left wall this would be the best option on the layout? It of course all depends on what the plumber can manage with the waste but hopefully there is a solution!...See More

9 years agoFor anyone who is experiencing a similar issue, here is the solution we came up with! I suggested it to my builder who helped to design and build it out of copper piping, and then I painted it to match the shower. The piping and joints cost about £20 so much less than I would have spent on an oval one.
