what colour kitchen worktop for all white kitchen?
Comments (71)Love your kitchen, you’ve done a great job, not only does the kitchen look good, it’s totally practical, drawers are the way forward, even if they are more expensive than cupboards. I’ve just redone a kitchen in a house we rent out, the old one was finally falling apart. I was going to go to Howdens and use the joiner etc we knew, but in the end we used a small local company, which cost us £300 more, but the quality of their interior cabinets and doors was so outstanding, plus they could do everything, including tiling, we went with them. We didn’t change the floor, but did everything necessary, I’m hoping it lasts well and our tenants look after it!...See More6k Wren kitchen on a budget or 24k lechit kitchen?
Comments (37)Fiza, if you are going to rent out your home I wouldn’t fit an expensive kitchen unless your home is a large luxury home. After all tenants may not care for it the way you would. My kitchen is a 12 year old Wrens kitchen. It was fitted by my brother as Wrens didn’t do installations at that time. It’s okay, just that. Nothing special. It cost £5500 including appliances, worktop, sink etc. My sister recently had a new, fantastic quality German kitchen installed. Can’t remember the brand or the price (the quartz worktops cost £5000 alone). The difference is incredible and I think anyone will be able to see the difference immediately. Next time I will use an independent kitchen company as I have learnt they cater to all budgets, not just high end. I would like to add that Daisy has been a member of Houzz for many years and her advice has been invaluable. She has never advertised her business or pushed people to use it on this forum. The only time she does so is if members ask for her details and then she messages them privately. We get lots of spammers on Houzz, but Daisy isn’t one of them....See Morekitchen floor tiles : to the wall or just to kitchen unit?
Comments (9)You're the customer so have it how you want. Its more expensive to tile wall to wall which is why lots of kitchens are only tiled up to the legs, but its getting more and more popular to have the kitchen fully tiled before fitting like they do on the continent. When we have a kitchen to fit and its been tiled we lay hardboard over the floor to protect it, so it is an extra small cost. Accidents can happen though like dropping the oven but that could of been an old existing tiled floor that could be chipped and no replacement tiles available. Also its harder for your fitter to install as he has to scribe and seal all your decor panels to the floor when its been tiled is another reason installers prefer it to be tiled afterwards....See MoreOpen Plan Kitchen Living Room - Kitchen Location
Comments (5)Hi, many thanks for your response! Unfortunately, it is not possible to make these structual alterations to create a hallway! In relation to the second bedroom, the window can be used as an exit point! We would be open and keen to hear any suggestions on how to optimally layout the open plan kitchen and living room based on our after floor plan!...See MoreSharma Quaid-Shuter
