Hi Torie, the cupboard built into the stud wall which houses the toilet cistern and washbowl plumbing - is this bespoke? Was it done by a carpenter? Any information on how you did it would be very useful.Thanks

Hi Shaun, My partner built the stud wall which houses the toilet, he made it bespoke for us.

It’s difficult to say IF mould will grow, but if the house is heated and there are no leaking gutters then you would probably be okay. Ventilation is essential, so make sure you open a window when cooking to let the steam out even if you have a cooker hood. People who never open windows tend to have the most problems. If you see mould behind any of the old cupboards, clean it with bleach and let it thoroughly dry out.

Daisy, that was my experience before and my builder didn’t have a trade account so we didn’t get a Howden kitchen, which is what I wanted. Magnet did a great job and my builder did have an account with them. I have yet to contact a joiner. Chris, I might visit all the kitchen people and see clearance stuff they might have. I really wanted some pictures of real London houses with a pantry in small kitchen like yours. Not the American dream kitchen or in a Surrey mansion. Thank you for all your ideas and advice.
