Need help for my kitchen in a holiday home
Comments (22)Hi - just checking in before I shut down the computer ! Thank you Joe !!! Roselyne, love the photos !! Looks so quaint !!! So, France ! Much more liberal with regard to planning (phew!!) how lovely ! Yes, that cottage look would fit in so well !!! The last project I did in France was an old watermill in Rennes - beautiful location - but a nightmare to find a good furniture manufacturer !! Have you sourced anything yet ?! Or are you thinking of bringing it all over by road ?!?!...See MoreMy Friend's Kitchen Needs Help?
Comments (11)Rich tea biscuits, Gemma? For that kind of help I'd ask for at least some custard creams :)) To answer your query, Nick, I think white tile and grey grout look great. I tried to find a pic with some square tiles but didn't succeed - these days is subway tiles everywhere! How to achieve that... It would be great if Houzz team could find some skilled builders (wink, wink Gemma!) to come spend some time advising people. But I'm afraid all we've got so far are some (more or less) enthusiastic DIY-ers... Anyway, if you have a steady hand, try the grout pen. However, looking at your tile in the photo above, you can see the grout is quite gone, "hiding low" in between the tiles, so you could fill the spaces with grey grout, even if it's just a very thin layer - I think it will look better and last longer. Hope this helps, good luck!...See MoreNeed help with my kitchen
Comments (10)Old thread but I've been searching for the same answer... fast forward a couple of months and a few trials and I've found Johnstone's Olive It PPG1032-3 is a near perfect match. Currently repainting my oak kitchen doors & end panels with it to match new Heritage/tiverton Sage pelmets and cornices. Hopefully that helps someone....See Morekitchen cheap cheer up - help plea
Comments (7)Projection architects- thank you for the picture it definitely helps! It’s actually really nice seeing it full scale. When did a cheap lick of paint to freshen up become so complicated ?lol! The roof will definitely be white. Do you think a grey would work? My head says green is the best choice but am open to suggestions...See MoreSalim Deco
