Living room - colour dilemma
Comments (6)Hi. Thanks for reply. hit the nail on the head - cream is too yellow, will check out greige offwhites.. Room zoned - dining area is natural riven slate, greys. Also have dark pine wooden panelling across the dining end to cover the rad, goes across the whole wall. Happy to paint but the wood is beautiful, looks quite rustic. Dining table is big and chunky, wooden with black leather dining chairs. Living end has dusky, minky coloured carpet with darker brown random flecks in it. Black leather sofas. Curtains are rich browns, reds and creams, very heavy and rich looking - think I need to change them. I will see if I can work out how to upload some pics when I get back home! useless at that sort of stuff!!!...See MoreMy fire place wall in my living room
Comments (2)My first reaction is 'what odd beams'. Odd isn't always bad though and can add a lot of character, how about painting it all white including the ceiling and the shelving. It's a lot of work but it would brighten it and neutralise everything. Modern to me is all about white. I like your shelves and I think you could get some really awesome objects to display on these as features. Good luck!...See Moreliving room dilemma help!!!
Comments (5)Hi, A run through the space is nice if you can cleverly balance the space so it doesn't appear like a corridor or mass of empty space with everything pushed to the side. It may make an uneasy vibe as you walk in one door and out the other.. as you can see the back door from there too. It may not be that 'homely' or inviting'. Consider placing a thin console on the wall there to break-up the line but still having space to move from the front door to the kitchen. We offer some competitively priced single room packages. If you require a designer for the space, I would be happy to come out and take a look. All the best and do keep us informed. Gina...See MoreLounge paint colour dilemma
Comments (20)I think new art is a good idea. We all like a little refresh of wall art every now and then, and I really don’t blame you. I think The Range is good for cheap and cheerful art, and surprisingly good. Wayfair are also good, and for the more special art prints I’ve found King & McGaw very stylish. Of course you could go to an art gallery and choose an original piece if budget allows. These prints are from King & McGaw:...See MoreJMC Decorators
