All that beautiful country side and the garden is in a hole seeing none of it? Id at least clear out the top/back hedge so the top seating areas can look out over the farm. Imagine getting to the top of the stairs revealing all that country view. The landscape aside the garden is done well.

Strongly wanting to purchase the artwork in my ideabooks ,its working out rather costly with the shipping fees to the uk hence why im so hesitant in my purchase! The room as is is doing it no favours but with new (bigger?)rug, matching cushions etc can you see it working? would really appreciate all thoughts.

At the moment I never watch TV in the daytime, so glare isn’t a problem. And that window faces North so I don't think it would ever be a big issue.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Not a fan of having it where the previous owners did. It dominates the room too much. I'd like the fireplace to be the main focal point in the room rather than the telly. If I have it on the cabinet (Option 2) I was thinking of building in an automatic TV lift so it disappears from view. I've got plans downloaded from the internet and it looks like a good weekend DIY project!

May I suggest you email Ikea with these questions? Or call their customer service. I personally wouldn’t buy a sofa, sofa bed or bed without trying it out in store first. Read the reviews for the sofa-bed - are they mostly positive? None of my sofas are identical, but they are a similar colour. It still works.
